what inspires you

Remember What Inspires You

In times of uncertainty, I often reflect on what inspires me. Change can bring doubt and challenges, but it’s essential to navigate through it. Recently, I watched a podcast by Mel Robbins that helped me navigate these turbulent waters. Her message boils down to honouring the promises we make to ourselves, whether they’re big or small. This concept extends beyond time management—it’s about prioritising what truly matters to us.

The concept of “under promise and overdeliver” is relevant here. It involves setting expectations lower than what you intend to deliver and then exceeding those expectations. By doing so, you can surprise and delight others, creating a positive perception. When we consistently exceed expectations for others, it builds trust and fosters loyalty. As for balancing commitments, creating clear boundaries with clients and treating them as partners can help manage expectations effectively. Remember, taking care of ourselves is essential too! 😊

Setting clear goals provides clarity, but sticking to those goals is where the real challenge lies. Over the past two weeks, I’ve committed to setting daily goals that were important to me and treating them like first dates—non-negotiable. Initially, it was tough as placing myself first does not come naturally, but I felt a sense of accomplishment as I persevered. Sometimes, even small changes can feel like conquering Everest.
